The Blood Ravens are one of the two playable Chapters of the Space Marines in Dawn of War 4, led by Captain Cyrus and Chief Librarian Jonah Orion. They come to Kronus, their old recruitment world, for fresh blood to rebuild the Chapter, and fight short of the resources a full-strength force would have. Series veterans will know both leaders; the series' best-known Blood Raven, Gabriel Angelos, is deliberately absent. The clip is the official Space Marines trailer.

The Chapter in this game
KING Art says the Great Rift left Kronus and part of the Blood Ravens stranded, and Cyrus and Jonah go there to rebuild. Jan Theysen told IGN the Chapter is "scattered in the Nhilus Sector" and hopes to find recruits or surviving brothers. They arrive in orbit and are ambushed by Warboss Gorgutz, and both sides end up on the surface. See Story and Setting and the Space Marine Campaign. The clip is IGN's Jan 2026 hands-on.
The story picks up about 200 years after Dark Crusade, which Theysen says is canon as a Space Marine win.
Captain Cyrus
Cyrus is the Vanguard commander, built around stealth and killing at range, voiced by Steve Blum. He is a captain in this game. PC Gamer calls him a Scout Sergeant from the first game, and he also led the Scouts, with stealth and a sniper rifle, in Dawn of War 2, so the style carries over. TheGamer saw him with a small upgrade tree including grenades in an August 2025 build.
Jonah Orion
Chief Librarian Jonah Orion brings psychic warfare that sows chaos among enemy troops, voiced by Aaron Neil. He first appeared as a new Librarian in Chaos Rising. Neither Commander's abilities have been listed in full, and KING Art has not said how the two survive into this era: no explanation of the gap is published.
Each Commander brings a unique Stratagem, not yet matched to a name. See Commanders for how they work outside the campaign.
Why no Gabriel Angelos
Gabriel Angelos, captain in the first game and Chapter Master in Dawn of War 3, is left out on purpose. Jan Theysen told IGN: "he felt a little bit overpowered", and that stripping him of his power would be "a weird trope". PC Gamer and Destructoid report the same decision.
