Space Marine Campaign
Dawn of War 4's Space Marine campaign follows the Blood Ravens, stranded on Kronus, and the Dark Angels who answer their call for aid, with a choice of which Chapter to control. Only its prologue was in the Oct 2026 preview build, so its missions and length are not known.
Dawn of War 4's Space Marine campaign starts with the Blood Ravens fighting to survive on Kronus and then, once the Dark Angels arrive, asks you to choose which Chapter to control. KING Art calls this the first time two Chapters are playable in a Dawn of War campaign. Only the Space Marine prologue was in the Oct 2026 preview build, so nothing beyond it has been reported from play, and this page lists no missions because none has been named. It will be filled in after the Dec 3, 2026 launch. The clip is the Oct 2026 Game Overview Trailer.

The set-up
The Blood Ravens arrive over Kronus to recruit, and Gorgutz ambushes them in orbit. Both sides end up on the surface, where Guzcutta's Orks are already hunting the human forces. Cyrus and Jonah then uncover a threat to the whole sub-sector. With the Space Marines and Astra Militarum under attack from all sides, a call for aid goes out and the Dark Angels respond. The wider picture is on Story and Setting.
The choice of Chapter
KING Art presents the Dark Angels' arrival as a key strategic choice between the two Chapters. It has not said whether you choose once or mission by mission, or how much of the campaign differs between them.
The two are written to fight differently. The Blood Ravens are short of what a full-strength deployment would have, so their missions favor smaller skirmishes and reconnaissance behind enemy lines ahead of precision strikes. The Dark Angels keep their heavy arms and armor, and their missions reflect that firepower. KING Art says the Chapters share many units, and the Commanders make the biggest difference. The Dark Angels also have Deathwing and Ravenwing as Elite units. The clip is the Oct 2026 Space Marines Faction Trailer.
Commanders
| Commander | Chapter | Style |
|---|---|---|
| Captain Cyrus | Blood Ravens | Stealth and killing at range |
| Chief Librarian Jonah Orion | Blood Ravens | Psychic warfare that disrupts enemy troops |
| Chaplain Ezrael | Dark Angels | Mobile, rides a Raider-pattern bike with Ravenwing |
| Company Master Astoran | Dark Angels | Slow one-man army in Terminator armor with Deathwing |

The full Chapter pages are Blood Ravens and Dark Angels, and units are on Space Marines. KING Art bills the Primarch Lion El'Jonson as playable in a small part of the story, not in every mission; Gamepressure reports Theysen saying two cutscenes and one mission.
What the preview build showed
KING Art's press build held the Astra Militarum and Space Marine prologues, not this campaign. Press Start describes two prologue missions introducing the Astra Militarum and Blood Ravens, and IGN's January build had a brief tutorial with both. ComicBook says it played all four factions and their campaigns, which reads wider than the build KING Art lists; this page follows KING Art.
Not the paid prologue
The free prologue in the base game is not the Blood Ravens Story Prologue, a paid DLC about a separate strike force heading to Aurelia, which the roadmap places around Spring 2027. Gameswelt names a Dark Angels prologue as a pre-order bonus, but Deep Silver's edition list has only the Blood Ravens one, as covered on Editions and Price.
What is not known
As of Oct 31, 2026, KING Art has not published the Space Marine campaign's mission names or count, its length, how the choice of Chapter plays out, or how its ending ties into the other three campaigns. Claims of specific missions before launch do not come from the makers.
