What time Dawn of War 4 launches
Nobody outside the makers knows yet. A search of KING Art's Steam news, Deep Silver's game page and press coverage found no hour for Nov 30 or Dec 3, and Steam's Year 1 Expansion page says only that "Advance Access" starts on Nov 30. The clock at the top of this viki counts to midnight UTC on Dec 3 for one reason: no hour exists to count to. It is not a prediction that the game unlocks then.
Pre-loading
No pre-load date has been published as of Oct 31, 2026, and neither has the install size. Steam's system requirements were still mostly blank on that day; see System Requirements and Platforms.
The Commander Edition's early unlock
The early start belongs to one edition. The Commander Edition includes a 3-Day Early Unlock, which puts its owners in the game on Nov 30. This is a head start on the launch game, not Steam Early Access: KING Art describes no unfinished public period, and the Standard Edition follows on Dec 3.
How the date moved
The game was revealed without a date, got one nine months later, and then moved by 11 weeks. The clip is the May 2026 reveal trailer, which still shows the old Sep 17 date.

Why Dawn of War 4 was delayed
Game Director Jan Theysen explained the move in a video posted with KING Art's Aug 12, 2026 update. Insider Gaming reports his reasons as performance optimization, bug fixes and polish. GamingBolt adds that he wanted more community feedback in the game, drawing on thousands of playtesters. The delay also moved the post-launch plan into 2027, including Crusade Mode; see Year One Roadmap. The clip is that update; its captions mistranscribe the game's number.
